Insomnia and migraines
When I was 32 and my Grandmother told me I was nearing "the change", I thought she was joking. Wrong - my family finishes "the change" between 37 and 43. My main complaints are insomnia and migraines. I can have a migraine that lasts up to seven weeks. The herbal remedies that worked for me in the past are not working on the hormonal migraines. I'm currently taking 600mg Gabapentin a day to prevent the migraines with a little success - at least they are not as painful as they could be. Just when I get used to the rhythm of the symptoms, they change. On the bright side, I only have 1 - 5 years more of this and when my
friends are going through their own "hell", I'll be able to
say "thank god that's over". Kelly
