What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause: The Breakthrough
Book on Natural Progesterone
By John R. Lee, MD
Part One of the book deals with the inner workings of hormone balance.
Within this section he explores the history of hormone replacement therapy,
answers the questions What is estrogen? What are "normal" estrogen
levels? How and where are estrogens made and used in the body? Additionally
he asks the question What is progesterone? and addresses how progesterone
affects the body. He also explains the difference between synthetic drugs
and natural compounds.
Part Two of the book addresses hormone balance and illness, premenopause
syndrome, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, cancer, PMS, pelvic disorders
and many other common health problems.
Part Three is the map for creating and maintaining hormone balance. It
ends with an excellent glossary, a solid bibliography and a very usable
index.
About the author:
Dr. Lee is also the author of "Natural Progesterone." He passed
away suddenly in 2003, but his work is being continued.
